The Gourmet Bachelor
The Gourmet Bachelor was a design assignment to create a recipe book for the bachelor. The idea being that the presentation has to be simple enough for an unexperienced person to cook, but at the same time have recipes that are fairly complex. The cookbook focuses on Deserts. Since the target audience was novice cooks strong typographic hierarchy was needed to efficiently guide them thorough the process. The design also had to be consistent and take into account recipe’s of varying lengths, since a varying design across different recipes would have confused the novice cook. I tried to recreate a children’s book for adults that would guide them through the process of cooking. The recipes had to be pictorial with clear and concise steps , so as to make the reader comfortable and avoid any confusion. The final recipe book is attached below.
